The aim of The Foundation
Chelmsford Counselling Foundation aims to offer individual, couple and group counselling at an affordable price to people living in Chelmsford and surrounding districts.

The Foundation is committed to the professional practice of counselling, seeking to promote personal growth towards psychological and emotional health.

The origins and structure of CCF
In 1975 The Foundation was formed under the name of Writtle Pastoral Foundation in the village of Writtle near Chelmsford. On becoming a charitable trust, responsibility for its work was assumed by a group of trustees.

Much of the work undertaken within the organisation is done on a voluntary basis. The Foundation is indebted to many local professional people from all walks of life for their support.

CCF and Mid Essex Primary Care Trust
CCF provided counsellors in surgeries in Mid Essex PCT for 10 years, working with GPs to improve access to counselling within the NHS framework.
